MAINE LAWMAKERS CONSIDER BANNING INDOOR TANNING FOR MINORS
Maine would become the third state to ban children under 18 from using tanning beds. California and Vermont have already passed this law. Current law in Maine allows minors to use tanning beds if they present a consent form signed by their parents. Groups supporting the new law include the Maine Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Cancer Society.
