What should I expect from my laser hair removal treatment sessions?
Laser hair removal starts with an evaluation. During this initial appointment, our doctors will determine if the patient is an appropriate candidate for this treatment. Once patients have decided to move forward with treatment, they will schedule their first treatment sessions with Drs. Achtman or McConnell. Patients return to the office where the laser treatment is performed quickly and easily, treating the areas of concern. Patients can expect for several days after their treatment to see hair falling out from the treatment area. These hair follicles will never produce more hair. With each treatment, less and less hair remains until patients achieve full hair removal. This may take up to six treatments to achieve, with each session spaced several weeks apart. We encourage patients to take full advantage of this during the winter months to prepare them for the summer with full removal!
