DOWN UNDER JOINS THE BAN OF TANNING BEDS

(The Wall street Journal 10/11/13) Australia has gone a step further than the US, by banning tanning beds because of heightening fears about cancer risks. Australia now faces some of the highest skin-cancer rates in the world. Skin cancer makes up more than 80% all new cases of cancers diagnosed every year in that country. The US is considering posting cancer warning signs on tanning devices, similar to what cigarettes now carry. THERE COULD BE MANY FACTORS AT PLAY HERE.
